Just Start!

Just Start!

April 03, 20232 min read

If you are not embarrassed by your first product, you launched too late.

So start before you are ready.

Whatever it is that you've always wanted to do, learn or create. Just start.

Because someone is going to make a statement, and it might as well be you.

If you own the story you get to write the ending. So own it. Choose what to become.

The time will never be perfect.

You can only make perfect use of your time.

Imagine saying “yes” to everything today, and watching your life taking off.

Exciting opportunities will start showing up and you will be glad you started when you did.

You might have your doubts, concerns and excuses.

And the answer to all of those is : Knowing is better than wondering.

You might think that you are not good enough, or not as good as someone else in that space.

Maybe, you are thinking it's too late for you, or the market is too saturated.

The truth is: you either take action, or you create excuses. There’s no in-between.

Plenty of people started late and at first were not great at their craft.

People who are successful at something just started one day and stayed persistent. They practiced, they learned, they perfected their craft, and so can you.

Just start and remember that if you believed in Santa Clause for like 8 years.

You can believe in yourself for like 5 minutes.

Follow the 5/95 rule: spend 5% planning and 95% acting.

You already know what you want to do, so just start acting.

Whatever you want to do, do it now. There are only so many tomorrows.

Today matters, because today could be another day you get better at your craft.

So just start now and make it count.

Use today and make yourself satisfied with what you have been given.

Let's be real, tomorrow you'll wish that you started today.

You have more experience today than you had yesterday.

You have a bigger network that you can ask for help.

You might be in a better place financially, and you know how valuable time is.

You are either first or you are best, maybe both, but never in-between.

Decide which one you are and start now.

Chances are, you will have to be best at whatever you are planning to start.

It might take a bit more time and resources, but that's okay, you already know that.

If it is important to you, it shouldn't have a deadline

Ask yourself:

What would you do today if you knew you would not fail?

If not Now, then When?

If not This, then What?

Now, go out there and do it.

Scared? Good. We don’t grow when we stay inside our comfort zone.
